Every week, in five cities across the nation, children waiting to be adopted are featured in local news segments. Hosted by popular local newscasters, the segments highlight each child's special qualities and interests. These children are considered hard to place, as they may be older, in sibling groups or have special needs.

A recent Wednesday's Child LA segment features a 15-year old with a passion for sports and a strong desire to be part of a permanent family.
